PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the preparation of a sugar material for the administration of an agent and effective for suppressing the degeneration of the agent caused by reaction or decomposition in the heating of the sugar material, and provide a sugar material containing a stably included agent, a microneedle containing the sugar material and an agent, and a transcutaneous preparation furnished with the microneedle.SOLUTION: The method for the preparation of a sugar material at least comprises the following steps (1) to (3). (1) A step to prepare a sugar having a water content of &le5 w/w%, (2) a step to mix an agent to the prepared sugar, and (3) a step to heat and knead the mixed agent and sugar.
