PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a mousse food, capable of producing a mousse food with desired viscosity without spoiling the original flavor and texture of the food.SOLUTION: A method for producing a mousse food includes: a pulverization step (STEP10) of pulverizing a food a mixing heating step (STEP20) of adding a thickener to the pulverized food in the pulverization step and mixing followed by heating at a first heating temperature so as to obtain a first mousse food a packaging step (STEP30) of filling a packaging container with the first mousse food obtained in the mixing heating step followed by packaging and a second heating step (STEP40) of heating the first mousse food packaged in the packaging container in the packaging step, at a second temperature higher than the first temperature so as to obtain the mousse food adjusted in viscosity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
