FIELD: food industry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry. The snack mixture contains from nearly 30% to nearly 60% of fruit or vegetable chips, from nearly 25% to nearly 40% of cereal based snack pieces, from nearly 10% to nearly 40% of dried fruit or vegetables pieces. The said fruit chips contain (in terms of dry substances weight): from nearly 10% to nearly 16% of modified starch, from nearly 15% to nearly 25% of rice, from nearly 5% to nearly 15% of flour, from nearly 15% to nearly 25% of potato flakes, at least nearly 20% of solid substances of fruits and less than 4% of water. The said vegetable chips contain (in terms of dry substances weight): from nearly 10% to nearly 16% of modified starch, from nearly 20% to nearly 30% of rice, from nearly 5% to nearly 15% of flour, from nearly 20% to nearly 30% of potato flakes, at least 14% of solid substances of vegetables and less than 4% of water. The said cereal based snack pieces contain at least nearly 50 wt % of at least one component. The component is chosen from rice flour, whole wheat flour, whole oat flour enriched with wheat flour, whole maize, maize flour and whole rice flour. The snack pieces have moisture content equal to less than 4%.
