The present invention relates to a Hericium erinaceus active substance having an effect of pain relief and a pharmaceutical composition containing the active substance. The active substance is made by the following steps: (a) inoculating a Hericium erinaceus mycelium on a flat plate, and culturing at a temperature of 15-32DEG C for 8-16 days (b) inoculating the Hericium erinaceus mycelium cultured in step (a) in a flask culture medium, and culturing at a temperature of 20-30DEG C and a pH of 4.5-6.5 for 3-5 days (c) inoculating the Hericium erinaceus mycelium cultured in step (b) in a fermenter culture medium, and culturing at a temperature of 24-32DEG C and a pH of 4.5-5.5 for 8-16 days to obtain a Hericium erinaceus mycelium fermentation broth (d) drying the Hericium erinaceus mycelium fermentation broth obtained in step (c) to obtain a Hericium erinaceus mycelium powder.
