Disclosed is a method for sterilizing and preserving a cosmetic composition, a cosmetic seed, and a cosmetic set containing the cosmetic seed. The plant seeds are reduced to a cosmetically acceptable number of general bacteria by exposing them to a bactericidal gas atmosphere at a pressure higher than normal pressure and then reducing the pressure. The plant seeds of the present invention can form a pectic coat in water when immersed in water.
