PURPOSE: A method for extracting curcumin derived from Curcumae Rhizoma by supercritical extraction is provided to obtain curcumin with high efficiency from Curcumae Rhizoma. CONSTITUTION: A method for extracting curcumin derived from Curcumae Rhizoma comprises: a step of drying Curcumae Rhizoma with hot air； a step of pulverizing the dried Curcumae Rhizoma to have a particle size of 0.5-2 mm； and a step of extracting the pulverized Curcumae Rhizoma using supercritical carbon dioxide at 40-60 deg. C and 150-350 bar. The method for extracting curcumin additionally comprises a step of concentrating the extract.본 발명은 초임계 추출을 이용한 울금 유래 커큐민 추출 방법에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 울금을 열풍 건조한 후 상기 울금 건조물을 0.5 내지 2 ㎜의 입자 크기로 분쇄한 다음 40 내지 60 ℃의 온도 및 150 내지 350 bar의 압력 하에서 초임계 이산화탄소로 초임계 추출함으로써 울금으로부터 다량의 커큐민을 추출하는 방법에 관한 것이다.
