PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article excellent in the liquid permeability and liquid diffusivity, and highly efficient in utilizing an absorber.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 includes an absorber 4 and a front surface sheet 2 disposed on a skin facing side of the absorber 4. The absorber 4 includes an absorbent core 40 containing an absorbent material, and a core wrapping sheet 5A covering at least the skin facing surface 40a of the absorbent core 40. The core wrapping sheet 5A includes a first layer 51 and a second layer 52 layered on the first layer. The first layer 51 is located at a position closer to the front surface sheet 2 than the second layer 52. Relations among a liquid permeating time T1 of the front surface sheet 2, a liquid permeating time T2 of the first layer 51, a liquid permeating time T3 of the second layer 52 and a liquid permeating time T4 of the absorbent core 40 are: T3>T4>T1&geT2.
