PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which is comfortable with a dry feeling even immediately after excretion since excreted liquid quickly shifts into an absorber, wet spread of a surface sheet is small and also a liquid remaining amount of the surface sheet is small.SOLUTION: The absorber 4 of an incontinence pad 1 includes an absorbent core 40 and a core wrapping sheet 44 for wrapping the absorbent core 40. When the entire length in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent core 40 is equally divided into three and sectioned into three areas of a front area A, a center area B and a rear area C, at least the center area B has small absorption parts 41, which contain water absorbing polymer and are dispersed and arranged in a plane direction, and a groove 43 for partitioning the small absorption parts 41, and the occupancy rate of the skin abutting surface side surface 41s of the small absorption parts 41 in the center area B is 50 to 80%. For the core wrapping sheet 44, the liquid transmission speed of the part positioned more on the skin abutting surface side than the absorbent core 40 is 5 seconds or shorter, and for the water absorbing polymer, an absorption speed measured according to a DW method (30 seconds) is 13 ml/g or higher.
