PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper superior in shape holding properties of an absorbent core, wherein swelling hindrance of an water-absorbing polymer can hardly occur, and wherein absorption performance of the water-absorbing polymer sufficiently develops.SOLUTION: In this disposable diaper 1, an absorption body 4 has: the oblong absorbent core 40 including the water-absorbing polymer and core wrap sheets 45 covering the upper and lower faces thereof. The absorbent core 40, in a crotch lower part C of the diaper 1, has a center absorption part 41 extending in the long direction and side absorption parts 42, 42 on both the sides thereof, a width direction central part of the center absorption part 41 is formed with a center non-piled part 43 wherein at least a part on the upper face side lacks, and side part non-piled parts 44 are formed between the center absorption part 41 and the side absorption parts 42. In the side part non-piled part 44, the core wrap sheets 45a, 45b above and below the absorbent core 40 are joined.
