PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and agent for restricting the acidity of lactic acid bacteria-containing food and drink products even after passing of time so as to enhance the mellowness, and lactic acid fermentation food and drink products which contain the agent.SOLUTION: The method for enhancing the mellowness of lactic acid bacteria-containing food and drink products includes adding 1.0E+6 (pieces/g) or more of enterococcus faecalis. The agent for enhancing the mellowness of lactic acid bacteria-containing food and drink products includes enterococcus faecalis as active ingredient in a blending amount of 1.0E+6 (pieces/g) or more.
