PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide litter for an animal that allows its disposal to be carried out easily.SOLUTION: Litter for an animal is used for breeding an animal and is decomposed by a hydrolysis treatment. After the hydrolysis treatment, the content of an insoluble substance that has not been hydrolyzed is 20 mass% or less. The litter contains pulp that is hydrolyzed by a hydrolysis treatment. The content of the pulp is 80% or more to the bone-dry weight. The hydrolysis treatment is a hydrolysis treatment by an enzyme. Cellulase, for example, can be used for the enzyme, and the hydrolysis can be carried out by adding 5-40 FPU cellulase to 1 g of the bone-dry weight.SELECTED DRAWING: NoneCOPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT【課題】廃棄処理を容易とする動物用敷料を提供する。【解決手段】 動物用敷料は、動物の飼育に用い、加水分解処理により分解される。この加水分解処理後に、加水分解されない不溶性物質の含有量が20質量%以下となる。また、加水分解処理により加水分解されるパルプを含有する。このパルプの含有量は、絶乾重量に対して80%以上である。また、この加水分解処理が、酵素による加水分解の処理である。この酵素は、例えば、セルラーゼを用いることができ、絶乾重量1gに対して前記セルラーゼが5~40FPU添加されることで加水分解される。【選択図】なし
