Disclosed herein is a manufacturing method of an ash urn, including the steps of a billet production, a billet combination, and a jar and lid formation, leveling and polishing. In the step of billet production, a stone is mold processed to obtain at least a flaky billet. In the step of billet combination, a plurality of billet layers are stacked in combination to form an urn semi-finished product, the urn semi-finished product containing a jar semi-finished product and a lid semi-finished product. In the step of jar and lid formation, the top surface of the jar semi-finished product is milled/cut to form a receiving slot having the shape of a jar body, and the bottom surface of the lid semi-finished product is milled/cut to form a groove having the shape of a lid. In the step of leveling and polishing, the surfaces of the jar and the lid are leveled and polished. In another embodiment, after the billet production, steps of pattern filing and a selection matching can be performed first, followed by the billet combination step. The pattern filing step is to input a plurality of patterns of billet peripheral surface into a computer to establish pattern files. The selection matching step is to use the computer to select and match a particular pattern combination. The billet combination step is to compose the corresponding billet into the urn semi-finished product in accordance with the pattern combination.
