- Using data from four national food intake surveys conducted between 1994 and 2008, ERS researchers disaggregate 63 Loss-Adjusted Food Availability (LAFA) commodities (fruit, vegetables, dairy, meats, eggs, grains, fat and oils, caloric sweeteners, and nuts) by food source—food at home and food away from home—for the Nation as a whole and by 15 demographic characteristics.
