PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a ferulic acid containing fraction using a vegetable material and a lactobacillus, a lactobacillus fermented food and drink derived from a vegetable material including a lactobacillus and ferulic acid, and a screening method of the lactobacillus having a ferulic acid productivity.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a ferulic acid containing fraction includes a process that cultures a lactobacillus having a ferulic acid productivity, the lactobacillus fermented food and drink derived from a vegetable material includes a lactobacillus having a ferulic acid productivity and ferulic acid, and the screening method of a lactobacillus having a ferulic acid productivity.
