PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assisting device that is easy to attach to a bed and is capable of supporting assistance by a care giver when a care receiver moves between a bed and a wheelchair.SOLUTION: An assisting device 100 includes a bed-wheelchair movement assisting device 40 to be attached to a side rail 30. The side rail 30 includes a frame body 33 including a rotation fulcrum 34 in an upper part of a support pole 32 embedded in a bottom support member 31 and a safety mechanism portion 36 that separates the frame body 33 from the frame body bottom part 31 when a predetermined force is applied.
