PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article in which a cross area is not hard and is easily folded, even when a lattice-state embossment pattern is formed on an absorber, and which can improve a use feeling felt by a wearer.SOLUTION: An absorbent article comprises: a liquid permeable surface sheet 14； a liquid impermeable rear surface sheet 12； and an absorber 13 arranged between the surface sheet 14 and the rear surface sheet 12. The absorber 13 comprises a low basis weight part 23. The absorbent article comprises plural compression rows 22 formed of plural recess parts 21 formed by compressing the surface sheet 14 and the absorber 13 on which the low basis weight part 23 is provided, and crossing each other.
