PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article with improved suppleness of an absorber and excellent in air-permeablility.SOLUTION: An absorbent article includes a liquid-permeable surface sheet, a liquid-impermeable rear surface sheet, and an absorber arranged between the surface sheet and the rear surface sheet. In the absorber, a plurality of recesses are formed on the surface on the surface sheet side, and a plurality of recesses positioned on both end areas with a central region of the absorber in between form a first pattern extending in the direction where both end areas face each other.
