PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an absorption speed from decreasing and to prevent a good fit from being lost by maintaining effects of a recessed groove when liquid is absorbed or an external force is added in an absorbent article where the recessed groove is formed on a surface side along a longitudinal direction.SOLUTION: In an incontinence pad 1 where an absorber 4 is put between a liquid permeable surface sheet 3 and a rear surface sheet 2, the absorber 4 is provided with an absorber recess 20 which is formed into a recessed groove shape or a slit shape without being compressed along a longitudinal direction of the incontinence pad 1 and across a range in the longitudinal direction including a body fluid discharge part H on the surface on the liquid permeable surface sheet 3 side.
