In the present invention, a surface sheet (2) comprises a laminated body of a first sheet and a second sheet. The laminated body has a plurality of joining portions that partially join the first sheet and the second sheet. The first sheet forms a plurality of protrusions which protrude in a direction away from the second sheet and toward the wearer's body in locations other than the joining portions. The surface sheet (2) has a central area (S) and a pair of side areas (M) adjoining the central area (S). The shapes and/or arrangement patterns of the joining portions are different in the central area (S) and the side areas (M). The area ratio of the joining portions is substantially the same in the central area (S) and the side areas (M). The number of the joining portions per unit area is greater in the side areas (M) than in the central area (S).
