PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an ultrasonic image having high temporal resolution with high image quality by using a parallel simultaneous reception method.SOLUTION: An ultrasonograph includes a control part 18, a detection part 13a, a correction part 13c, and an image generation part 16. The control part 18 controls a transmission part 11 and a reception part 12, simultaneously receives at least two reflection wave beams among the reflection wave beams of transmitted ultrasonic beams, and then, performs preliminary scanning to receive the reflection wave beam of a position corresponding to the reflection wave beam to be received in main scanning. The detection part 13a detects the reception sensitivities of the first reflection wave beam received in the main scanning and the second reflection wave beam corresponding to the position of the first reflection wave beam received in the preliminary scanning. The correction part 13c compares the reception sensitivities of the first and second reflection beams and corrects the sensitivities of the respective reflection wave beams in the main scanning.
