PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing powder for food is provided to express original taste and nutrition of Opuntia hymifusa and to offer a health supplement function according to a mix rate of oriental medicinal materials. CONSTITUTION: A method of manufacturing powder for food comprises the following steps: putting washed Opuntia humifusa stem into an extractor; adding 7-9 times of refined water into the extractor based on weight of the Opuntia hymifusa, and hot water extracting at 90-100 deg. Celsius for 10-13 hours in order to obtain an Opuntia humifusa extract; manufacturing mixed raw material by adding dextrin to the Opuntia hymifusa extract; and manufacturing powder for food by drying the mixed raw material and pulverizing the same. The refined water is oriental medicinal refined water which is manufactured to include active ingredient of the oriental medicinal materials. The oriental medicinal refined water is manufactured by boiling 10 g of Angelica gigas, 10 g of Chinese matrimony vine, 10 g of schizandra, 10 g of cornus fruit, 5 g of ganoderma, 5 g of jujube, 3 g of Glycyrrhizae radix and 3 g of ginger, and decocting with a low flame for 30 minutes to 1 hour and filtering the same with a sieve.본 발명은 천년초 선인장을 이용한 식품용 분말의 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로는 세척하여 준비된 천년초 선인장의 줄기를 추출기에 투입하는 제1단계; 상기 추출기에 투입된 천년초 선인장의 중량 대비 7~9배수의 정제수를 첨가한 후, 90~100℃로 10~13시간동안 열수추출하여 천년초 선인장 추출액을 수득하는 제2단계; 상기 선인장 추출액에 덱스트린을 첨가하여 혼합원료를 제조하는 제3단계; 및 상기 혼합원료를 건조시킨 후 분쇄하여 식품용 분말을 제조하는 제4단계를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 한다.
