PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a reed extract malt is provided to conveniently use reed as an active ingredient for cooking food. CONSTITUTION: A reed extract is manufactured by putting 1 part by weight of reed into 3-5 parts by volume of purified water and heating the same at 40-80 °;C. A malt is manufactured by mixing 100 parts by weight of the reed extract to 10-25 parts by weight of malt powder; leaching the same for 3-10 hours; and straining the same through a sieve. 8-12 parts by weight of the malt liquid is mixed to 1 part by weight of hard-steamed rice to ferment the same. The fermented liquid is aged for 8-12 hours after crushing and straining cooked rice from the fermented product. The fermented liquid is aged for 8-12 hours after crushing and straining cooked rice grains. Grain syrup is manufactured by boiling the fermented liquid for 7-12 hours at 40-70 °;C. A pill or a granule is manufactured by mixing 2-3 parts by weight of yam powder to 1 part by weight of the grain syrup.
