PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating formation kit that can produce foods having texture like the foods with coatings derived from a natural or artificial casing such as sausage, without using a special device such as a sausage filler or special equipment such as an exclusive wringer, and to provide a method for producing the foods with coatings that can willingly be performed in parent and child at home.SOLUTION: A coating formation kit is provided for forming coatings in foods. The coating formation kit for use in obtaining the foods with coatings contains: a powder composition A bridged by polyvalent cation to become gel, the gel contains a first gellant which does not become sol by heating, and dissolved in water for use in preparation of a water solution A and a powder composition B being at least one kind selected from a group comprising gelatine, collagen, polysaccharide thickener and modified starch, containing a second gellant different from the first gellant as well as the salt for generating the polyvalent cation bridging the first gellant in the water solution, and dissolved in water for use in preparation of a water solution B.
