To provide a walking support device configured to shift to a walking mode after a user's standing support action finishes without requiring operation by an assistant or the user.SOLUTION: A walking support device comprises a base 2, transfer means provided on the base, standing seating action support means provided on the base, and a brake constitution part for the transfer means. The standing seating action support means is means for supporting a user's action in standing from a seated state and the user's action in sitting from a standing state. The standing seating action support means comprises an elevating member and elevating/lowering drive means for elevating/lowering the elevating member. The elevating member comprises: an elevation/lowering body 10 connected to the elevating/lowering drive means to perform elevation/lowering action； and a support member fitted to the elevation/lowering body 10 to support the user.
