PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic clamp apparatus operating even during power failure without enlarging the apparatus by quickly shutting off flow without causing water hammer.SOLUTION: The automatic clamp apparatus comprises: a pushing member 2 including a clamping member for clamping a tube 20 a screw mechanism 8 for making the pushing member approach/retract with respect to the tube a drive motor 4 for driving the screw mechanism to axially separate the pushing member an elastic member 5 elastically energizing the pushing member towards the tube to clamp the tube via the clamping member and pushing-member holding means 6 capable of holding the pushing member at a prescribed position against the elastic force of the elastic member. The screw mechanism includes a pushing shaft 8a. The pushing member is held with respect to a structure member movably in the axial direction of the pushing shaft but non-rotatably.
