PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agrobacterium-mediated transformation method having increased sterilizing efficiency and accordingly improved callus induction and shoot regeneration efficiency, and to provide a method for producing a transformed plant by using the transformation method.SOLUTION: The method for transforming a plant by inoculating a plant leaf with an agrobacterium holding an exogenous DNA comprises a sterilization step absorbing a liquid containing an antibiotic substance for agrobacterium sterilization through the leaf stem of the leaf after inoculation of the agrobacterium.
