The present invention relates to a safety stick device for blind people and a method for controlling the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the safety stick device for the blind people comprises: an ultrasonic sensor； an interface module； a camera module； a Bluetooth module； and a controlling unit. The ultrasonic sensor recognizes surrounding obstacles located within a predetermined distance. The interface module includes: an input module which receives a command from a user； and a vibration module which informs vibration to the user. The camera module photographs surrounding images of a current position of the user. The Bluetooth module is connected to a user terminal through Bluetooth communications； and transmits/receives the surrounding images and receiver information. When the surrounding obstacle is recognized through the ultrasonic sensor, the controlling unit informs the recognized surrounding obstacles to the user through the interface module. When a danger recognition button is pushed through the interface module, the controlling unit transmits the photographed surrounding images and the registered receiver information to the user terminal through the Bluetooth module. The controlling unit informs an emergency situation of the user by enabling the user terminal to transmit the transmitted surrounding images and GPS information of the user terminal to a registered receiver terminal.본 발명은 시각장애인을 위한 안전 지팡이 장치 및 그 제어 방법에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 시각장애인을 위한 안전 지팡이 장치는, 기설정된 거리 이내에 주위 장애물이 인식하는 초음파 센서； 사용자로부터 명령을 입력받는 입력 모듈 및 사용자에게 진동으로 알리는 진동 모듈을 구비한 인터페이스 모듈； 사용자의 현재 위치의 주위 영상을 촬영하는 카메라 모듈； 사용자 단말과 블루투스 통신을 통해 연결되어 주위 영상 및 수신자 정보를 송수신하는 블루투스 모듈； 및 상기 초음파 센서를 통해 주위 장애물이 인식되면, 상기 인터페이스 모듈을 통해 상기 인식된 주위 장애물을 사용자에게 알리고, 상기 인터페이스 모듈을 통해 위험 인지 버튼이 눌러지면, 상기 촬영된 주위 영상 및 기등록된 수신자 정보를 상기 블루투스 모듈을 통해 사용자 단말에 전달하는 제어부를 포함하고, 상기 제어부는 상기 사용자 단말이 상기 전달된 주위 영상 및 상기 사용자 단말에서의 GPS 정보를 기등록된 수신자 단말에 전송하여 사용자의 위급 상황을 알리도록 요청하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
