PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leg orthosis which starts and stops assisting of standing-up without troublesome switching operations.SOLUTION: The leg orthosis comprises thigh links, lower thigh links, a load sensor and a controller. The thigh links and the lower thigh links are arranged on the thigh and the lower thigh of a user respectively. The lower thigh link is connected to the thigh link so as to be rotated freely. The lower thigh link is rotated by an actuator. The load sensor measures a floor reactive force applied on the foot of the leg wearing the leg orthosis. The controller rotates the lower thigh link in the knee extending direction when the measured value of the load sensor is larger than a predetermined load threshold.
