PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cultivating green vegetables, capable of preventing unproductive growth from occurring, even when the vegetables are cultivated under a low sunshine condition, and to provide an installation for the same. SOLUTION: This method for cultivating the green vegetables comprises decreasing at least far red light having a wavelength of 700-800 nm among long-wavelength light having a wavelength of≥700 nm from sunlight under the low sunshine condition and irradiating the vegetables with blue light having a wavelength of 400-500 nm during the night, when the green vegetables are cultivated under the low sunshine condition which usually causes the unproductive growth.
