PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the position of a leading end of a puncture needle to be specified when conducting puncture in an ultrasonic diagnosis.SOLUTION: A moving amount sensor 24 detects a moving amount of a puncture needle 50. A reference point passage sensor 26 detects a passage start of the leading end 50A of the puncture needle. An insertion amount L is obtained by a moving amount from that point. A coordinate P1 of the leading end of the puncture needle can be estimated from the insertion amount L from the reference point on a puncture route 60.
