To provide an instant tea beverage containing ascorbic acid or a salt thereof, in which foreign taste when a reduction beverage after preparing the reduction beverage by dissolution in warm water is cooled is suppressed.SOLUTION: There is provided an instant tea beverage containing (A) ascorbic acid or a salt thereof of 0.1 to 10 mass% and (B) cineole of 0.02 mass.ppm or more with a mass ratio of the component (A) and the component (B) [(B)/(A)] of 3×10to 3×10. There is provided the instant tea beverage, in which preferably content of the component (B) is 0.02 to 70 mass.ppm. There is provided the instant tea beverage, further containing terpinolene with content of 0.01 to 100 mass.ppm or less. There is provided the instant tea beverage, containing additionally a sweetener with content of less than 10 mass% in terms of sucrose concentration.
