To provide a reel seat and a fishing rod in which the casting is easy and the burden of an angler's hand when being held is small.SOLUTION: A reel seat includes a cylindrical reel seat body 1 attached to a rod body 2. A double shaft reel is mounted on an upper surface of the reel seat body 1. A trigger 14 for hooking a finger is projected toward the lower side in the bottom of the reel seat body 1. A grip part 15 having a front face 15b obliquely extending to the bottom toward the rear side is bulged and formed toward the lower side in the rear side of the trigger 14.
