PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod having a rear grip part on the rear side of the reel seat, with lightweightness, mechanical strength security and high sensitivity made compatible with one another.SOLUTION: The fishing rod is such that: a rear grip part is provided on the rear side of a reel seat 1 having a cylindrical reel seat body 10 with a reel foot placement part 13 put with a reel foot 100 thereon.
