The invention describes a bone cement with antimycotic efficacy based onorganic polymers, such as polymethylmethacrylate. The bone cement comprises an antimycoticagent, in particularamphotericin B, that is released from the polymerised bone cement in thepresence of water oraqueous media, such as body fluids. According to one alternative, theantimycotic agent ispresent in particulate form and is encapsulated, at least in part, by amixture of at least one1-methylamino-1-deoxy sugar alcohol and at least one fatty acid. In addition,a method for theproduction of a mixture comprising an antimycotic agent, such as amphotericinB particles, and1-methylamino-1-deoxy sugar alcohol and at least one fatty acid is proposed.Preferably, theantimycotic agent is encapsulated, at least partially, by 1-methylamino-1-deoxy sugar alcoholand at least one fatty acid.
