PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article in which a product having an optimal absorption performance can continuously be obtained by providing an overlapping part between an opening of a liquid-permeable surface sheet and an embossment of the absorber at a predetermined ratio.SOLUTION: A sanitary napkin 1 is interposed with an absorber 4 with many embossment 11 imparted by pressing from a skin side between a liquid-permeable surface sheet 3 with many openings 10 formed therein and a liquid impermeable back sheet 2, and is disposed of the openings 10 and the embossment 11 so as to be overlapped at a predetermined ratio in the thickness direction. A pitch ratio Pobtained from (pitch Pof the opening 10)/(pitch Pof the embossment 11) is 0.7-0.9.
