The length in the vertical direction of an overlapping section in which the abdominal- side band member overlaps the absorbent body is longer than the length in the vertical direction of an overlapping section in which the back- side band member overlaps the absorbent body. The abdominal s-ide band member has abdominal- side continuous elastic members disposed continuously from one end to the other end in the horizontal direction, and abdominal- side discontinuous elastic members disposed discontinuously in the horizontal direction. The back- side band member has back- side continuous elastic members disposed continuously from one end to the other end in the horizontal direction, and back- side discontinuous elastic members disposed discontinuously in the horizontal direction. The sum total of the contractive force of the back -side continuous elastic members is greater than the sum total of the contractive force of the abdominal side continuous elastic members.
