PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain such a molecular form of Aβ(1-42) as causes a neurodegeneration and especially a neuron injury action and as appears increasingly in senile dementia, for example, Alzheimer's disease, and in Down's syndrome.SOLUTION: There are provided: a neurodegenerative oligomer of amyloid-β(1-42)-protein； a method capable of regenerating an oligomer, and a special manufacturing method for obtaining it in a high yield； and such use of the oligomer as a diagnosis agent and a therapeutic agent for manufacturing an unusual antibody of the oligomer and for discovering a substance capable of interacting with the oligomer and its formation； and besides a derivative of the oligomer, especially a crosslinked oligomer, and an oligomer based on a fragmental form of amyloid-β(1-42)-protein, and a manufacture and use thereof.【課題】Ａβ（１－４２）の神経変性及び殊にニューロン傷害作用の原因となり、かつ老人性痴呆症、例えば、アルツハイマー病及びダウン－症候群において増大に出現する分子形を得る。【解決手段】アミロイド－β（１－４２）－タンパク質の神経変性オリゴマー、オリゴマーが再現可能な方法及び高収率で得られる特殊製法、及びオリゴマー特異的抗体の製造のための及びオリゴマー及びその生成と相互作用をし得る物質の発見のための診断剤及び治療剤としてのオリゴマーの使用、さらにオリゴマーの誘導体、殊に、架橋結合オリゴマー及びそのアミロイド－β（１－４２）－タンパク質の切端形をベースとするオリゴマー、その製造及びその使用を提供することにより解決される。【選択図】なし
