The present invention relates to an eco-friendly peat mat which is configured to neutralize odor from excrement of livestock, has sterilization properties to decompose the excrement of livestock, and can be used for a long time, and to a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method of the eco-friendly peat mat comprises the steps of: (a) applying original microorganisms to peat to prepare microbial peat base body； (b) supplying moisture and peat to the microbial peat base body prepared in the step (a) and mixing a mixture to prepare first peat； (c) cultivating the first peat mixed in the step (b) to prepare second peat； and (d) packaging the second peat cultured in the step (c) in a predetermined unit.
