A rehabilitation apparatus includes: an operation unit that is operated by a subject of rehabilitation； an operation amount detection unit that detects an operation amount of the operation unit； a drive unit that drives the operation unit； a control unit that controls drive of the drive unit； a posture detection unit that detects a posture of the subject； an external force detection unit that detects an external force acting upon the operation unit； and a display unit that displays an operation target position of the operation unit.
