An object of the present invention is to provide a more efficient steaming method for use in the steaming step during manufacture of steamed noodles and instant noodles and the like. The steaming method for noodle strand groups uses a noodle strand steaming device comprising a conveyor on which noodle strand groups are placed after being cut and which transports the noodle strand groups, and a tunnel-shaped main body section provided such that the noodle strand groups are transported therethrough by the conveyor. The method includes a step of transporting the cut noodle strand groups into the main body section on the conveyor through an inlet section, subjecting the noodle strand groups to steaming for a predetermined time by supplying steam, subsequently continuing steaming of the noodle strand groups without the supply of steam, and then transporting the noodle strand groups to an outlet section.
