A method for manufacturing a liquid smoke coloring agent solution, comprising: a) contacting a liquid smoke composition as a starting material that is not completely water miscible, which has a content of benzo (a) pyrene by below approximately parts per billion and includes an organic component, which will precipitate as an organic precipitate when the liquid smoke composition as the starting material comes into contact with water； b) obtaining said organic precipitate after said contact； c) producing from said organic precipitate, by adding an alkaline agent and water, a solution of liquid smoke coloring agent, which (a) has an alkaline pH above about 11, (b) is totally miscible in water and ( c) it has a benzo (a) pyrene content of less than approximately 5 parts per billion.Un método para fabricar una solución de agente colorante de humo líquido, que comprende: a) poner en contacto con agua una composición de humo líquido como material inicial que no es totalmente miscible en agua, que tiene un contenido de benzo(a)pireno por debajo de aproximadamente partes por mil millones e incluye un componente orgánico, que precipitará como un precipitado orgánico cuando la composición de humo líquido como material inicial entre en contacto con el agua； b) obtener dicho precipitado orgánico después de dicho contacto； c) producir a partir de dicho precipitado orgánico, añadiendo un agente alcalino y agua, una solución de agente colorante de humo líquido, que (a) tiene un pH alcalino por encima de aproximadamente 11, (b) es totalmente miscible en agua y (c) posee un contenido de benzo(a)pireno menor de aproximadamente 5 partes por mil millones.
