PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation for skin, excellent in a moisture retainability-imparting force in an extent for improving wrinkles.SOLUTION: This external preparation for the skin is characterized by containing (1) amodimethicone and (2) sorbitol or maltitol in an emulsifier form. It is preferable that the emulsifier form is an oil-in-water type emulsifier form. It is further preferable that the external preparation for the skin contains an alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer and/or its salt, and ubidecarenone. The ubidecarenone is preferably contained in the form of vesicle.
