PURPOSE: Compressed block-shaped tea formed with various kinds of leaves, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the taste of the tea using a hot-plate and a germanium pot.CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of compressed block-shaped tea comprises the following steps: selecting raw materials including leaves, roots, and shoots(S1) removing foreign materials and soil from the raw materials, and adding 1wt% of salt before rinsing(S2) dehydrating the washed material on a tray before drying(S3) thinly layering the dried materials before applying steam from a mixture of water and weak refined rice wine for 25-40 seconds, and stirring the materials before mounting on an elvan plate for rolling and cutting(S5) molding the materials into a circular or a square shape(S6) inserting the molded mixture into a germanium pot on a hot-plate at 40-50 deg. C with rice straws, and closing a lid of the pot(S7) increasing the temperature inside the pot at 55-65 deg. C(S8) and heating the aged tea at 200-300 deg.
