PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the uniformity of the light emitted from a bundle fiber to a subject.SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition device comprises: a light source 101； a bundle fiber 102 containing a plurality of optical fibers； and a processing part for acquiring information from within the subject using the acoustic wave generated when light is emitted from an emission part of the bundle fiber 102 to an irradiation surface of the subject. Disposed at the emission part of the bundle fiber 102 are the emission ends of plural sub-bundles 103 each of which includes a plurality of optical fibers. The plural sub-bundles 103 include a first sub-bundle 103b disposed at the center of the emission part and second sub-bundles 103a disposed on the periphery of the emission part.
