PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform a display and an analysis function with consideration for irradiation light without any necessity of redundant data recording or analysis processing by storing imaging data including information of the irradiation light of three-dimensionally reconstructed images of a photoacoustic diagnosis device while retaining convenience of general-purpose data.SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition apparatus includes: a light source； detection means that detects acoustic waves generated from a subject that receives the illumination light from the light source； processing means that generates characteristic information inside the subject using the acoustic waves； and recording means that records the characteristic information associated with information relating to the irradiation light.【課題】光音響診断装置の３次元再構成画像を、汎用的なデータの利便性を維持して照射光の情報を含む撮影データを保存し、冗長なデータ記録や、解析処理の必要なく、容易に照射光を考慮した表示、解析機能を行えるようにすることである。【解決手段】光源と、光源からの照射光を受けた被検体から発生する音響波を検出する検出手段と、音響波を用いて被検体内の特性情報を生成する処理手段と、特性情報を、照射光に関する情報と関連付けて記録する記録手段を有する被検体情報取得装置を用いる。【選択図】図１
