PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sterilization compositions and methods which use chlorine sterilization materials such as hypochlorous acid, chlorous acid, or a salt thereof, the compositions and methods having high sterilization effect on spore-forming bacteria of high durability, while maintaining an alkali condition with high cleaning effect on protein contamination and the like.SOLUTION: A composition for sterilizing spore-forming bacteria contains at least one selected from hypochlorous acid, chlorous acid, and a salt thereof, and organic acid or a salt thereof, the composition having a pH of higher than 8.
