Disclosed is an anti-neuropilin-1 (NRP1) antibody, and pharmaceutical composition comprising said antibody, capable of inhibiting NRP1s interaction with semaphoring comprising a light chain variable domain. Further disclosed is a polynucleotide encoding said antibody, a vector comprising said polynucleotide, and an isolated host cell comprising said vector. Also claimed is a method of detecting NRP1 protein in a sample, and the use of said antibody in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment or prevention of a disorder associated with pathological angiogenesis, such as cancer.
