PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cultivation method of rice that can harvest rice with a high taste value.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, a method for cultivating rice comprises a linen-cultivating step S1 of cultivating linen 14 in a rice field 10 and a rice-cultivating step S2 of cultivating rice 16 in the same rice field 10 after cultivation of linen 14. The linen-cultivating step S1 comprises a ridge-forming step S1a of forming a ridge 12 in the rice field 10, a seeding step S1b of planting seeds of the linen 14 on the ridge 12, and a linen-harvesting step S1c of harvesting the linen 14. In the ridge-forming step S1a, the ridge 12 is preferably formed so that the height thereof can be 20 to 35 cm.
