PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for growing sea weed in which sea weed can be grown by stably supplying required nutrients, by using a solid fertilizer material which costs lower than commercial liquid fertilizers do, while preventing problems such as adhesion of suspended matter emanated from the solid fertilizer material to the sea weed, in growing such sea weed as Suji-aonori (Ulva prolifera) which has bunch-like morphology and as sea weed belonging to Sargassaceae which has adhesiveness.SOLUTION: The method for growing sea weed comprises immersing a humic material or fish waste, and iron and steel slag in water, eluting a nitrogen component, phosphorus component, and iron component in the water while precipitating or filtering, and removing suspended matter contained in the water, and supplying the elution water after the removing process to a culture tank including sea water, where sea weed which has bunch or adhesiveness grows.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】スジアオノリのように房状の形態を有する海藻や、ホンダワラ類のように粘着性を有する海藻を育成するに当たって、市販の液肥よりも廉価な固体の施肥材を用いて、固体の施肥材から出る懸濁物質の海藻への付着等の問題を防止しながら、必要な栄養素を安定的に供給して育成できる海藻の育成方法を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】腐植物質又は魚かすと、鉄鋼スラグとを水に浸漬し、当該水中に窒素成分、リン成分、及び鉄成分を溶出させると共に、当該溶出水中に含まれる懸濁物質を沈降又はろ過して除去し、除去後の溶出水を、海水を有する培養槽に供給し、当該培養槽中で、房状または粘着性を有する海藻を育成させることを特徴とする海藻の育成方法。【選択図】図1
