The present invention is related to a novel method for removing toxicity from castor plant paste resulting from the ricin protein the invention promotes the hydrolysis of said protein that is present in the castor plant in order to remove the toxic biological activity by hydrolysis from ricin present in the castor plant paste by means of the exposition of said paste, in the presence of water, to a pressure of from about 55.17 Kpa to about 137.93 Kpa (8 at 20 psi) at a constant temperature of from about 80°C to about 130°C with an exposition time ranging from 20 to 40 minutes where the detoxified castor plant paste may be used for improving soils, as a food supplement for backyard animals, with this the producers of this crop may reduce the consumption of external supplies and move forward in the search of an integral production unit.Esta invención se relaciona con un nuevo método para eliminar la toxicidad de la pasta de higuerilla, dada por la proteína llamada ricina dicha invención promueve la hidrólisis de dicha proteína presente en la pasta de higuerilla para eliminar su actividad biológica tóxica por hidrólisis de la ricina presente en la pasta de higuerilla mediante la exposición de dicha pasta en presencia de agua a una presión de entre 55.17 Kpa a 137.93 Kpa (8 a 20 psi) y una temperatura constante de entre 80°C a 130°C con un tiempo de exposición de entre 20 a 40 minutos en donde la pasta de higuerilla detoxificada puede tener usos como mejorador de suelo, complemento alimenticio para animales de traspatio, con esto los productores de este cultivo pueden reducir el consumo de insumos externos y avanzar en la búsqueda de una unidad de producción integral.
